Martin Scorsese has worked in the film industry for the last fifty years, and has made some of the most iconic films in American cinema. One of his most famous films is The Departed, which features an all-star cast and one of the most intensely thrilling plots in the history of crime. The film focuses on two men sent undercover, one is a cop and is sent to become a criminal and the other is a criminal sent to become a cop. Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon play the two leads in this complex thriller focusing on the lies that each is forced to tell to maintain his identity. The film weaves the story perfectly and features great performances by Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, and Alec Baldwin as well, which simply amplifies the quality of the cinematic experience.
This one is probably one of Scorsese’s best and leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
