Undoubtedly more stylish than its predecessor, this film takes Agatha Christie’s classic tale and puts a new spin on it. Kenneth Branagh takes his turn as both director and star of this new adaptation, which is visually stunning and offers some new twists and turns. Just like the original film, this one also features a star-studded cast, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Josh Gad, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, and Johnny Depp. But despite its cast it has a few head-scratching moments that leave the audience wondering if the creative licences taken with this film are improvements on the original story or just attempts to draw in a crowd. The film has style and it emulates a stunning time in history that is sure to please.
The film can’t compare with the original, but it is still an enjoyable ride that is worth a watch.
