The terror of being stranded in the most desolate location imaginable is enough to keep anyone awake at night, but for Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), that nightmare just became real. There are certain films that could only be made in the past few years, and Gravity is definitely one of them. The amount of CGI used in this film is mind-boggling and where some films are so overloaded with CGI that it waters down the film, this one shines because of it. Both Bullock and George Clooney give great performances, that are truly impressive considering the limitations of acting on a green screen. Clooney embraces the persona of wisdom and guide Bullock as she attempts to find a way to survive in the extremes of outer space.
Aesthetically gorgeous and well-acted to boot this one will keep you on the edge.
Going with gut on this one and giving it the recognition it deserves with…
