Love is universal. It exists in every facet of nature, and in the hearts of every creature, but it also exists in machines. It may not exist to the extent that Wall-e portrays, but there’s a sense of purpose that lives at the core of every machine. For Wall-e it is the desire to help humanity return to Earth, but moreso it is about impressing a girl (robot). It feels strange to call this film a ‘tale as old as time’, but it is a story that has been retold over and over. The team at Pixar put a futuristic spin on a classic love story and created and truly great if not frighteningly accurate portrayal of the future of humanity.
Love this film, probably my favorite Pixar film.
Since it’s my favorite, I’m inclined to give it…
